Hybrid

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

It is unique. Found on the Marketplace, so these are Marketplace photos.

Looks to be based upon a Dempster gearbox, possibly an Aermotor hub but with 8 wheel arms, and a Hummer wheel? Those are my guesses…

It's a Rube Goldberg design alright. Two blades per section, is that what makes it a Hummer wheel?

I think the metal Hummers were 4 blades per section with the straight band. Guessing the blade sections were then cut in half to allow for the two blade section we see.
