I bet pulling the well under that mill was quite a chore probably took many mules tied together to pull the pipe and rods. Makes me really appreciate the modern water well cranes we have today.Ive got some pictures in a old samson catalog showing two of those mills pumping into a earthen tank in San Antonio Tx circa 1900.
