Re: Dempster 12 early edition
Mike,
I’ve got a 3-post Dempster tower cap and storm stay that came off a tower holding a 8’ #12. I seem to recall the storm stay had a little egg to it, but no cracks. The race is being used on something else. Any Dempster race #1255, etc. should be able to set in the tower cap.
The con with a 3-post tower is 60 degree angle iron. I still have some of the 60 degree angle iron laying around. However, that tower had fallen and had some good twists in the angle. I can take some photos, if you like.

60 degree angle before I took it apart a few years back
As current for the angle iron.
I ended up doing this with the locked up #12 and put it along my driveway on the Dempster race that came with it. Champion vane was the only spare I had at that time. It is a little tail heavy, but rotates great with the wind.

Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

Mike,
Maybe you can find a 3 leg Woodmanse tower. They used 60° angle iron. That's what I used for my 8' Dempster 12.
