Wincharger 110 volt 1,000 watt?

Post by Hoss1675 »

Good morning all!
I bought this Wincharger on a whim to explore alternative means of power. However I really don’t know what I have or what I am missing.
Are there any manuals available and is there places for sourcing the needed parts?

Go into the Windcharger Forums and contact Wind Charger Mike with a PM. Also post this under that forum. Mike either will have the answers or know where to find them.

Most of these were 32V and intended to charge batteries. The 1000W rating is peak power. In average wind conditions you can expect maybe 15% of that on average ….plenty for a farm in 1939. Be cautious of 110V DC, much more lethal than 110V AC. The 110v option wasn’t as popular because it required 55, 2v batteries, very expensive back then and probably why it survived as NOS.
