slow learner

Post by mtblah »

Removing the hub from a 10 ft Dempster , so I broke one leg off , ( now extra work )
and keep trying , so I break a second leg off the spider , one would think a person would learn a little quicker , cast iron is brittle !

Not a lot of material to work with on that hub. Are you going to repair, or try to source a replacement?

I will have to source a complete replacement hub , still not off the fan shaft so cut the shaft in 2 places , bearing & race still frozen inside the snout , but turns free , I understand Dempsteritis and why real windmillers dislike working on them . :x

Dang Mike you really showed that hub who the boss is!
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.
