The difference in the weight is the 1st thing that struck me , wow . 10 ft'r is HEAVY , oh , that's why most of you guy's have gin poles , fork lift , overhead chain fall , cherry picker , etc. to lift the load .

They are much heavier the bigger they get and I’d imagine your 10’ #12 is heavier than my 10’ #15 with the #12 having two pinions and two bull gears. I can pick up most 8’ gearboxes, but I use the tractor frontend loader for the 10’ ones or bigger.

The older we get the heaver a 100lbs gets.

Well , reassmbly started today , 1st bearing race is installed , piece of cake !

Mike, the guiderod that screws in above that race screws down on it to hold it tight. Make sure the race is all the way in before tightening that guiderod down.

it was "pressed " in up to the keeper that stops movement , and thank you for the heads up .
another lesson learned from the professional's
