Fairbanks Morse Ruralite 32V 750W

Post by Joshschneids »

Absolutely beautiful old machine. Rare model I am told and only one I have ever seen.

9 Foot blade span. Fella I bought it off told me the blades were NOS and they look it. Were wrapped in paper when I got it still. I pulled cover and looked into the generator and the Brushes and Commutator look brand new as well. Had a broken piece of cast on tail vane/ Furl mechanism. I welded in 3/16'' Plate and made it look as close to factory as possible. ( see pics for repair) My thought's are the unit got damaged putting it up and never got to actually live life producing power. Everything is like brand new minus my repair.

I stood the unit up in my backyard for an hour or so and it spun very nice and put my Wincharger to shame.

Asking 1500$. This unit should be put in a museum.
