New guy here

Post by jbrumley »

Hello, my name is John Brumley, I live in Ulysses Kansas. My Uncle and I have decided to completely rebuild a vintage windmill that has been lying on the ground for many years and the wood is completely gone. We think it is an Eclipse? the stamp that we found says 10 type "P" we started buying the wood so to begin the rebuild but we do not have any drawings for any of the windmill measurements, and we do not know where to begin. We have tried to figure out the angle and length of the blades but have stopped. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you for allowing me to become a part of this forum!

Welcome to the forum John. I'm sure there's someone on this forum that can help you. There were several companies that made the eclipse windmill so part numbers are important.

Our museum has an Eclipse Model 9 that has been restored, but we are missing the hangars/connectors to mount the fans. Anyone know of a source, have design drawings or anything else that would help is get our Eclipse up and spinning? Any help or suggestions appreciated. Michael Ward/Pioneer Farms/Austin Texas
