The diary I'm reading Mrs. Emily writes she made herself and a cousin a pair of jeans. This was 1866. I wonder how they compare to the jeans of today. This lady at the time was 60 years old and rode to town on a horse or mule. Depended on what wasn't working in the field.

I found these American made jeans with double knee reinforcement made by Oregon prisoners. Hope they last longer when working on windmills. I tend to wear out my jeans fast working on windmills and welding. They even have suspender buttons. Lol

I know why I wore out my knees as a kid pushing around my trucks but can't figure out what I do today to wear out the knees.

I can destroy jeans in no time in the shop, I wonder if these really hold up? I got friends that work in shorts, I don't even own shorts and if I did I would look like someone beat my legs with a ball bat and there would be stitches all over them!

Yeah you have to be a real man to work in shorts. Grinding , welding, bumping into things and all the flying pest!
