Drove to Walmart Saturday. When I came out my car wouldn't start. The error code was that the key fob and car didn't like each other, so the computer had activated the anti-theft feature. Tried new battery in key fob. Found some friends in store asked them to take me home. Got my truck drove to town at the second stop it decided not to start. Bought 2 new batteries for it and came home. Fritted about the car all weekend. Went by Monday on the way to dealer tried it again. This time error code was gone but all it would do was click checked battery it had 10.7 volts. Lesson learned, if your car does weird things with error codes and lights. Check your battery. Computers don't like low voltage. Silver lining in the dark cloud. The battery waited until I got home from Trade Fair to act up.

I've had similar run-ins like that, but not quite as bad. i miss the 60's and 70's when I was a certified machanic, and could actually do something on my own without a computer to screw it up.

My Dodge truck is a 1998 with the Cummins engine and has 2 batteries. That has been the biggest issue except when the oil gauge on the dash decided to quit working.
