Hoping you all could help me verify the identify of a small windmill and tower on the Pawnee Bill Ranch in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
I should've taken a few pics of the head, but figured I could identify by just the sails and tail. I think it's a 6' Freeman single gear (Sears and Roebuck Kenwood).
I believe the tower is a Freeman also. Interesting that the tower is secured to the slab using rebar welded to the legs.

I’d agree with Freeman on the wheel and vane.
Re: Pawnee Bill Ranch - Windmill and Tower #1
Yeah the wheel looks like the Freeman I just sold.
Re: Pawnee Bill Ranch - Windmill and Tower #1
The wheel and clips look like IXL to me.. Freeman Clippers wheels had solid sheet metal clips with a large hole in them. Not long ago I listed some wheel parts that look like those, and they turned out to be IXL.
Tell me I'm not losing my mind.

Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

I think you are good Wndy. Now that I look at a picture of the book I had for Freeman it shows clips like you say, solid with the hole!

After reviewing this thread from 2019, I'm hanging my hat on Freeman (Kenwood).
