Hi everyone!
I'm not really an expert on well cylinders so I got a quick question on them: does the pump lift water on the upstroke, downstroke, or both?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Pump Stroke
There were cylinders made (at one time) that pumped on both, the up and the downstroke. Quite the assembly. I have one.

That would have to be quit the setup. Can't picture it in my mind.
Re: Pump Stroke
I have been at the shop lately, just forgetting to get a picture. It's around 3 ft long, its like a cylinder in a cylinder. Theres something in my mind that keeps telling me I got it from Ken O'Brock. Wish I could remember for sure.

That was the thing about old time engineers if they could see it in their minds, they built it. Sometimes it panned out lots of times it didn't.
