That really looks good. Can't see any wear. You sure it needs to come apart, or maybe just cleaned up real good?
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.
Re: 20’ Samson Model S
Could you turn the hub via hand as big as it is?
Re: 20’ Samson Model S
Windy, yes it looks really good. Not sure what I should do. I don’t want to take it down once it gets up on the tower.
CTX, yes I can spin the main shaft by hand.
Also please let me know what you think about my plunger guide on page 4.

Re: 20’ Samson Model S
how should I rebuild the turn table? It looks to be the worst part of this mill. And it will still work but since it’s down.

Take it all apart, clean it up, and measure the balls. probably replace them. I'm sure they are worn.
Still thinking about the rod guide.

Re: 20’ Samson Model S
Thanks! Where does the 5/0 twist pullout chain end? Mine goes from the tail to about a foot out of the plunger guide when the tail is straight back. Then i would assume a swivel then cable down to the pull out winch.
