New Member to Group

Hello,

My name is Jerry Wade Barker and I live in Wills Point, Texas. Thank you for allowing me to join the group. I have been missing the old forum and very thankful this new group is back to posting new and old information about windmills. Hopefully all the old information gets transferred over to this new site. There was years of information and experience posted that would be a shame to lose forever.

I am new to the world of windmills and I have a passion to learn and rebuild the mills I have started to collect. In 2018, my wife and I attended the annual Windmill Technology Certification Workshop at New Mexico State University. This was a great course for beginners to learn about windmills and pump applications. We learned a lot from the instructors and fellow students. Especially enjoyed learning from our fellow windmillers from the Navajo Reservation. These guys have three windmill crews that work full time keeping the large 16-20 ft mills working on the rez.

Hello Jerry, Used to spend a lot of time in Wills point when I lived in Tyler and worked for NCR. Enjoyed the old Log Cabins down town and the antique stores.
