Pump Jack that was under a 20' Open Gear Samson.

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Any ideas of the history of this jack. Only writing on it is the pit-man arm saying "Bill the Pump Mans Jack"

They were used on very deep high capacity well's. Would have had a gas engine with a flat belt to power it. When the wind wasn't blowing start her up and let the water flow. There's one at the Temple Texas grounds where they have a tractor and engine show every Oct.

That's one of those machines, that, if you take a nut off a bolt, and drop it on your foot, and it breaks your foot, it's too big for me.

I wake up and put my steel toe boots on and I don’t take them off till I’m ready for shower/bed. I’m alway in my steel toes. :) so I’m protected from that

I'm not sure about the brand has been several years since I saw it. In The book Blades in the Sky: Windmilling Through the eyes of B.H. "Tex " Burdock has a picture of one under a mill in Eastern New Mexico. For some reason I can't find my book or I'd scan the picture. I believe it was driven by a cylinder engine. I had visions of buying one once but couldn't figure out how to get it home. I love mechanical beast also.
