I'm trying to find a spring to use on a 8' Fairbury. Any idea how much load the spring should have? 50 lbs? 100?
Doesn't this control the speed it furls?
Thanks!

Re: Vane Spring
I have about 30 springs and don't know what they fit. If you can figure out what you need I probably have it.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, the springs control the furling of the tail. The tighter it is, the stronger the wind it takes. Hold the tail out straight, and measure, stopping short an inch or two. Don't know about the tension poundage. Just have to try one I suppose.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.
