Measurements at tower base

Post by WILLC »

Don’t know if Ken Obrock is in this new forum, but on the old forum he had posted a formula that,so many feet of height of a tower equaled so many feet between the legs.Anyone remember or know that formula?

This works for standard spread towers only. Footprint of a 27' tower is 5' 6 3/4". Then you can use this:

For every 5' additional height you would add one foot to footprint. Any heights in between, you can extrapolate linearly for a number.

In the books, Aermotor standard towers are spread, 1/4 the height. Dempsters are 1/5 the height. Or the other way around. Be sure to correct me if I'm wrong.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.
