water pump parts

does anyone have a source for water pump parts ?
i need a new connecting rod, 3/4 inch dia x 12 inch long
this rod connects the pump handle to the sucker rod
or do i just take it to my favorite machinist and open my wallet .

Just get a piece of rod the correct size and weld a bolt with correct thread on the end.

Merlinn, i don't have an envelope that large to hold my savings,
my machinist isn't cheap but he is really good !
he makes food grade molds& injection parts
