Jackson Windmill

Post by Wayne »

When responding to a fellow while visiting smokstak about a Stover windmill I noticed someone back in 2013 had posted about a Jackson Windmill, Mfg. by Jackson Agricultural Works San Francisco. There are some pictures if anyone wants to have a look. You can go to smokstak and search Stover windmill and scroll to the bottom and will find more listings and it will be there. Someone also posted some neat pictures of an Aermotor Corn Sheller that is really neat.

Hmmm. Will have to look that one up.

Ok, the book says "Jackson's California" windmill. Byron Jackson Machine works. 1900's. No town, no make, no model.

Ok, your turn. How's about a picture. lol

Wayne, I did get shots in my spine...Nerve blocks done. I think I have a few years left now. LOL Thanks for asking.

I'll see if I can find anymore info on it from the green book, now that you threw the ball back to me.

Is there a chance you maybe could get that mill? Don't know how much is left, looks like a lot missing , however, may be enough to assemble to make a decent rendition of it. That may be the only one in the country known.

That's too bad Wayne. Maybe Kevin from California will read this thread, and chime in. He's a lot closer out there , and maybe has some inside information. If he's not in total lockdown mode. Probably not, we all know how essential he is. He is a genuine 'pillar' of the community. ( we all know what dogs do to pillars) lol

I was thinking the same thing about Kevin is one reason I posted it figured if anyone would know he would. There were some replies to the guy from windmillers because they told him about Dr. Baker's book.

The first two pictures look like a bobtailed Raymond. Was the guy who posted this from Australia? I remember this thread from Smokstack. Used to spend quite a bit of time on there. Farm and industrial antiques forum.
