Dempster Main Shaft Removal & Replacement

Post by Undy »

I recently purchased a Dempster 8’ 12A with motor, wheel, tail, but no tower. The small wheel hub, brake, and main shaft look to be in rough shape and will need to be replaced. I have begun the process to remove the main shaft but would feel more comfortable if someone out there in windmill land has produced a video or written play by play game plan to complete the process of removal and replacement of the compromised main shaft.
Thanks so much, Mark Underwood

I have done a written explanation here before. I don't even know where to start looking. I may have even done more than one. Maybe someone can help find it.

Ok. If you have any questions, holler.

Also, 12A mills are radically different from the standard #12. There are no 6 ft 12A mills to start with. Take notes. take pictures. Take memory pills. LOL
