Thanks Windy. I was pretty sure I was seeing V spokes not screw in.

Now I'm curious what the number on the case is. Can't see the front. I've heard of those special hub / shaft combinations.

The hub is a 602. The case has A-702 embossed on it.
The statement about the upper case hole is badly worn? Not sure what you’re referring to?
I am setting it up to pump and circulate water to a round tank.
I cleaned it out with kerosene and not planning on rebuild. Replaced tail pivot rod and patched bullet hole in bonnet. Put it all together today, cleaned off the excess grease on mast. This was a running mill I picked up in western Kansas. I set the base of tower last week with legs in 4’ holes and 4 bags of concrete per hole. Had hell getting squared up but feel confident all is good. Saturday I have a water well guy coming to lift the top part of tower and fan onto base ..does anyone have the pump rod guides for the towe?

Thanks for the update! Be very careful setting it up.

I know you said the hub was 602, does it by chance have ' A723 ' on it?

You can make pumprod guides out of 1/4 inch rod that pivots or lay a 2/4 with a notch cut out of it across the girts and clamp it.

Has anyone used one of these for the pump on a mill? Isn’t supposed to have leathers?

Yes that should have a leather. Looks like the bottom screws off to replace it.

It also looks like a check valve (threads on the top). But yes, it should have a leather on it.
