Nice weathervane.
I had done this a few years ago as a weathervane along my driveway.
It is a frozen up Dempster #12 gearbox with a spare vane (Sears Champion). It is a little tail heavy (pun intended), but it rotates on a Dempster turntable with ease. Wish I had made it a foot taller to clear my mower canopy.
