I would agree with that. All the time the 602 was in production, improvements and changes were a constant thing.

I agree- its just a later 502. We now know at least the 502 case was offered as late as 1920. Perhaps just as a repair part in case someone needed a new case. Even the king of scale did some oddball stuff just to make customers happy by not forcing them to a order a few more parts than they needed for replacing a gearbox. Take the 723 hub as another example.

Aermoter started doing transition mills from the very beginning. My transition Bell Hub has all original parts except for the hub and brake.The main frame will take both vertical and horizontal springs !!!
