The Corcoran Windmill is here
Re: The Corcoran Windmill is here
Congratulations Jim!! The amount of history accumulated with this project is staggering! I am glad you plan to display it at Lubbock! That is a great location to have it available for people to see. Thanks for posting the pictures!

I'll look forward to taking a long look after it gets to Lubbock. I'm planning a trip out that way next May. Might be to early for a look see.

Re: The Corcoran Windmill is here
I have two continuing nightmares. One is about I'm lost in the mass on a Dallas freeway, the other is I'm stuck in a traffic jam in Austin. I've got a standing offer of an all expense paid trip to Austin to anyone that will take me to the Bob Bullock Museum. No takers so far. I will need to think about the offer tho.

I'd gladly donate to such a worthy cause, a Gingerbread Tower.

No Steve, this one was set up for a steel tower. I know of one "gingerbread tower" still standing on Long Island, though the mill is long gone. Might be a major task to talk the local historical society into letting it go. BTW the museum is already working on the tower for this one.

Jim , approx how much longer will that piece of history be in Manchaca before it goes north to the museum ?
