Re: Another 602 rebuild
I am painting the gear box and about ready to go back together. Like Mike said I know 98% but the last 2% make a difference. My question is anything I need to do when placing the pins back in the small gears to ensure that they do not move?

Re: Another 602 rebuild
My experience is they go back in pretty tight. Also the large gears pretty much keep them from coming out.
Re: Another 602 rebuild
apply plenty of assmbly lube on every thing that rotates .
Re: Another 602 rebuild
I’d dry fit everything, excluding the pinion pins, to make sure IF you need a spacer washer(s) between the snoot end and the hub, to where the oil collector lines up with the hub access plug. My 602 rebuild experience is limited, but I’ve heard of guys marring the pins a little with either a slight twist of pins in a vise or a couple of taps along the pin with a center punch before tapping in the pin.

Re: Another 602 rebuild
I have been making some progress. I put three washer on the hub shaft and everything seemed to align well.
