Ron Stauffer wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2024 2:33 pm Was it standing and complete when you got it?

Was it the original installation?

Were there any other shipping addresses on the tower?Or tail vane?

Corner angle of 2 and a 1/2. Or 2 and 3 /8.?
(2) 20' sections. Original installation and complete. Blown over in recent storm. Ground anchors rusted thru. We disassembled where it fell. 2-3/8" angle.

So far, I've only found "Fairland OK" in writing on a leg. Nothing on vane. I believe an open gear was original, replaced with A602.

Mill was over a 25' hand dug and lined well.

I would go 99% likelihood of an original open gear.

OK guys, what is the incongruity?

First hint, the shipper was psychic and could see 50 years in the future.

I am going to make this one hard...

Ron , thank you for making me smile 😆
Never would have thought to add asbestos to make it fire proof

Irrelevance to the incongruity.

In the words of a female I once knew,
my game, I make the rules. No hint

I would like to see a pic of the vane to know which mill it was original to.

No rush, as I need lots of time to think of obscure hints.
for the incongruity.

State abbreviation for OK?? (Two letter. Most probably used Okla, before the 2-letter was introduced.)

Dang, I thought I could keep it going.

Yes the incongruity is Ok. I have seen lots of Okla terr or Okla but not Ok. My other clues were going to be that the shipper either had the flu or he and his wife were expecting any time because of the incompletion

2 letters State designations didn't start until 1963 and have never seen them on windmill tails.
