I have several binders in 8 and 10 foot length, the problem is, a single team can't really pull them unless you add a gas motor to power the machine instead of off the bull wheel. These small ones are rare in my country as almost everyone here used 3 percherons abreast to pull back in those years. Someday I may have 3 drafts but not right now.

I love any thing that has a lot of moving parts, Binders, Threshing Machines, Side Shaft engines. I always wanted a horse drawn tedder because of how it looked while working. The binder at Canton was probably a ten ft, don't know brand. I'm partial to any thing IHC.

We have a couple metal ones. I think Roger Bailey has a wooden one.

Are all the IXL metal sections the same for the same size of mill? I bought what I was supposed to be an IXL a few years ago, sure enough, it had an IXL wheel and vane but it was a very early Woodmanse. Maybe I can find a motor someday as I got decent sheet metal. Have to say, for a farmer job it looked pretty good.

It is just like the one in the Windmiller's Bible page 290, I.X.L. Steel. The graphics on Both sides are good for a100 year old vane
