Mike from what I can tell your gear box looks complete. If not I might have a parts diagram for you to check. The wood bearings are easy to replace. Pretty sure they're maple !!

Dan , I bought the F&W thru an auction site , so did not really know what i was buying except it was cheap !
you can imagine my surprise when i went to pick it up and saw the wooden bearings !
There have been several discussions on how to build the wooden bearings , that part is covered .
I am in the process of dissembly starting with major components , tail assmbly , fan assembly , the "pull out " system is complete but ODD :?:
As Kenneth stated " it was an interesting project " & Michael did a beautiful resurection on his F & W .

I've got a Granddaughter that is thinking about coming to the Trade Fair with her kids is why I'm not sure I want to be tied up with selling rather than spending time with them. If the don't come I may see put some of my windmills for sale and see if they are any takers. If so then I'll bring a trailer.

Wood bearings were surprisingly common in older mills.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

Windy , your right , there have been several conversations on wooden bearings , just my first encounter .
and yes , this engine is remarkably complete , fan is super nice , tail has "characture " holes but straight .
Now , i need to make it as nice as Kenneth & Michael did on there resurections of F & W

Mike, believe it or not, that model 12 IMO was easier than my Steel Star. If you need advice let me know.
