Also I found this jewel in the bone yard! I have been looking for the factory pull out device since I bought the windmill. Now I have my own and on top of it. It’s in great shape! It also came with a 8”x8” chunk of wood from a 20’ Samson Open gear wooden tower.

More pictures of the pull out device. This and the swivel assembly makes this windmill 100% complete. Now I just need to put it all together.

TOWER UPDATE... there has been some debate if my tower was original to my windmill. I can confidently say that it is! The twisted wire used on other ideal stover towers wasn’t used on the 20’ mill towers instead a solid sucker rod was used. The person I visited had 1 special spread tower for his 20’ Samson and it was identical to mine. His was out of New Mexico so his tower makes 3 20’ Samson towers that I have seen including mine that has been identical.

Do they make a space-saving spare like the one in your trunk? Much easier to manage than a full sized one.
