Help with mill id

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Thank you thank you haha. Good news is the crosshead is still here, wedged between the two gear covers. But it is indeed missing the guide rods and the pitman arms

Glad you got it! The counter wieght is filled with tower punch-out circles for weight! And corner clippings! How frugal is that!

Ya know I glanced at it and figured it was just cement. But since you said that I looked closer at what is left of the top half and it's a bunch of metal circles all rusted in a clump! I probably never would have given any thought. I bet the guy who first suggested that got a raise! Hahaha :lol:

That's what was in an Elgin Wonder Model B weight I took apart also. That's when I learned they punched the holes not drill them.

Probably muuuuch faster and easier to punch them out than drill. I wish I had a punch, I'm going to have 3 separate towers I'm going to have to build for my mills!
