I remember when I was a younger man trucking threw Beatrice in the middle of the night and seeing the Dempster sign lite up above the front door. I hadn't been in Beatrice for a number of years and was there earlier this month and it sure looks different with all the Store Kraft building's gone and the Dempster building falling into disrepair.
