Yes only the spot welded stuff is Beatty, the other clips are Aermotor. The one with the single hole is earlier, the one with two holes was later.

Afternoon
I have to straighten the band's the sails mount on the Beatty. Does anyone know the radius of the inner and outer band's? I have estimated 19inchs inner and 37 outer. Am I close? Save some frustrations later.

Had to move the Beatty tail bone so as it was bent and twisted i thought I would try and tweek it back to normal. Question -Is this bend in the bottom channel supposed to be there?
Thank you

If the tail pin holes are worn, you will need to repair them or the buffer won't work properly. They are usually worn on one side on the top and the opposite side on the bottom.

Thankyou Peter. i will get it straight. My tailbone is missing that piece on the end to fasten the tailpiece Which I will have to make if I cannot find one
More questions as I have the time to work on it.
Would you want me to direct the questions to you private or here so all can benefit?
I need to re arc all the bands so I am looking to find the Radius of the inner and outer. I will build a jig. some were really bent and twisted .
Thank you again

No just post here, that way it benefits everyone.
I don't know the radius, you can lay six bands out on the ground and bolt them together. If you have a circle you have the right radius, that's how I do it.

If as Peter says that an aermotor wheel will bolt right on then the radius of 19 and 37 are close enough for windmill tolerances.

As a check, the radius of 19 on an inner band should equate to an OC measurement of inner band attachment holes to the wheel arms of. between 19 and 7/8 and 20.
