No I did not paint it. I think it will be natural. It wont be outside except when it is on display. The rest of the time it will be inside.

Just checking. The wheel does not last long out side if it is not at least primed before it is put together. ( been there and done that)

Anybody know a good source for the wood for the wheel

You need air dried not kiln dried. The only place I found air dried is down close to Alexandria La. You would need to order select or better in full one inch thickness. The last time I bought it was real cheap , pick up only.If you have lots of questions call for answers.

Does anyone have the length measurement of the furling rods for a Dem 14?
