I'm BACK! :D Let me start out by saying a big THANK YOU to everyone for your prayers and good wishes. Brings a tear to my eyes, knowing that everyone is so thoughtful.

Yes, I made it through. It's been quite a month, for that matter, quite a year. So far I've lost 40 pounds. I found the true way to lose weight. Have your back pain keep you in bed for a month or so, then have all your top teeth pulled out 3 at a time, then have bypass surgery. Works every time! ;)

I will go through all the posts carefully, and post separate things as I review them. I read through them all this morning, but will take more time with them.

I can say for starters, the prayers and well wishes worked, as I am still here. Guess the 'Boss' upstairs is allowing some more time for me to do ???? I am sure he will let me know. :)

Thanks Paul for posting updates. Thanks Ed for the mail. I texted you during recovery, hope you got it. ( ? )

undesireable effects from the surgery are waning. Cardio rehab coming soon.

ONce again, THANK YOU to everyone. What a wonder bunch of folks. :D ( boy do I have a lot of reading to catch up on.)

Thanks, Ed. Yes they did. Maybe now I can even some things again. ;) It's been a while.

I got to know him at Eldorado, a super nice guy. I sure wish him the best!

Super nice? Wow, I've been called nice before, but "super nice" takes it to a higher level. I feel like I owe you for saying that. ;)

Wow sorry to hear that. I'm surely gonna miss his sense of humor till he gets better.
Everyone these days needs a chuckle. If you give someone a smile on their face once a day, that's 365 smiles you caused. 2 people in a day doubles that. See how easy that is? :D

It will take the wind out of his sails for a little while but he will bounce back .

Boy that's no kidding! Sure don't want to do that again! Guess that means I can eat bacon and eggs and hash browns again? :o

Bob,
Best of luck with your procedure. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks Jim. As I mentioned, the thoughts and prayers worked. I'm still walking on ground, not clouds yet. ;)

Bob Prayers headed your way. Take care and do as the doctors say.

10-4 ! I don't plan on giving the surgeon any repeat business. ;)

Hopeful for a quick and full recovery for him. I much enjoy Windybob’s words of wisdom.

Wisdom?? Oh my. I am humbled.

Been there done that, and you do fell good after it's over. I'd been wondering about him. Hadn't seen any of his words of wisdom lately. Best wishes Windy. Won't be the same until your return.

Wayne, Thank you. I was hoping you would take my place while I was gone. You are pretty good at the B.S. also.

Bob all the best with your heart procedure. I had similar done a couple of years ago. Can't say you will "feel like a new man" but you will feel considerably better than you do now. Closely follow your doctors instructions after words and take time to heal...

Thanks Ivan, I do intend to. I must admit that I "fudged" just a tiny bit though. The day before Thanksgiving, my son's hot water heater went kapooie. By sunday, a new one, (50 instead of 40) was in on a new platform, new pipes and valves installed, and the rest "made to fit".
I kind of enjoyed being the "boss" in the chair next to where HE was working. :D

Bob,
We're thinking of you. Hope all goes well and your recovery swift.

Thanks Les. Much appreciated! Hope all you windmill projects go great!

Wishing you well and hope you have a speedy recovery. May God be with you.

Thanks Walter. I know He was. The day after surgery was lost in infinity. I was informed I tried to exit the bed, and even though I was completely wired and tubed, decided to leave the room I guess.
Everyone I guess almost piled on me like I had the football or something. There was no harm, and no foul. I don't remember anything about that 2nd day. When I finally came out of delerium, I had lost the day totally. Boy was my week messed up.

Windy, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Good luck with your
procedure and hope you have a full recovery. You will feel a lot better
after you recover.
Thanks Kenneth. I hope so. All for the last 3 years I coulda swore my lungs were shot, due to a virus I had gotten. Interestingly enough they were perfect. That's when the doctors got interested in my heart all of a sudden. Now it seems, I will be able to breath normally, and be able to do some work. Wow, go figure.

wishing you the best results and recovery,
chicken, fewer T-bones

See, the way I got this figured, is that it took 69 years to get clogged up. So, in that case I can eat the "good stuff" and expect another 69 years before the next clog. Right?? ;)

I am very thankful for the prayers. Thank you!

Bob, we go back quite a few years on the old windmill forums but never met in person. You are one of the persons I look forward reading your informative and entertaining posts. You will certainly be missed during your surgery and recovery time, but take it one day at a time. Medicine has changed dramatically over the years and you will be amazed how soon you will be back to your old tricks and tips. You left us temporarily a few years ago but came back a much stronger person. I am sure you will do the same this time. I personally will miss the wind but know in my heart it will blow better and stronger in time. Thank you my friend for all you do, God Speed

Okay Wayne, those are definitely words of wisdom! There are many smart and very nice people on this forum. Tom, I don't really know who I've met, and not met any more. It's always interesting meeting someone that you have been talking to, because we all have our preconceived notions about what that person looks like in person.

i guess no one knows how the surgery went or if he had the surgery. Haven't seen any new news.

Wayne, in the previous post above, I guess I should confess that I'm 4 ft 6 inches tall, and weigh in at ( well let's just say I'm as wide as I am tall.) I bet you thought I looked much different.

Windy had a small bout with pneumonia this past weekend so surgery was pushed back a week or two. As is typical with windy, he remains positive and in good spirits.

Thanks Paul. Believe me my personality makes up for my looks. ;)
