This tower and mill is John Durdle' s. He has had it the tower for about ten years. He worked his tail off getting things ready to stand it up. He dug all the anchor holes with an old auger type post hole digger. The mill was set on the tower a few weeks later. He has some local guys that really helped with equipment to do the needed lifting and a bucket truck. I went up in the bucket to get things put in place. Still need the truck to come back to finish a few things up. I told John I would post some pictures and a video. Been a bit since I've visited the forum. Hope everyone is well. Ok, hope you enjoy seeing this rare bird. The mill up top is a bell hub for the new folks information. All you old guys already know this.

I have a short video of the tower tilting up and down. Gotta figure out how to compress the file on my tablet.

Thanks everyone. John did the big majority of the work. He loves having this piece of windmill history up in his yard. Still some work to do on it but that will likely wait till spring unless we have some warmer weather to work in.

You might advise, that he could let it down if bad weather comes. The tower like that that I worked on, I added girts and X's like one picture I had. Those towers apparently came different ways, but the one like John's is, unfortunately weaker than others, and prone to strong winds.
