When windmills fall from the sky

I spotted this mill awhile ago. It is a Goold Shapely & Muir double geared ideal. It took me months driving around asking farmers to find out who owned it. Finally I found the owner. She said oh no we are going to move that to our home place. Oh ok done. About a year later I noticed it was gone. I thought they must have moved it. Then I looked closer and I saw it was all scrumpled up on the ground. Oh no! There pushing it all into a pile and burying it! I tried to get ahold of the lady again but the number was disconnected. Finally I went back to the guy I got her number from and he said phone the Hutterites their farming the land. So I did. The guy told me when they were seeding in the spring, the tractor was on auto pilot (gps) and the driver fell asleep! Kaboom! I bet he woke up in a hurry that was a 45 foot tower! It worked out rather well for me. He said you want that, help yourself, clean it up! so I went with my wrenches and took it all apart. I wound up with a pretty decent head. And I've salvaged 15 feet of the tower.
