Re: Montgomery wars mill KS
MW sold different kinds, but the last one according to the "Bible" was the AIR KING, made by EASY Co, which made the Cushmans. I'm fairly positive this is NOT an Air King, due to some differences. I will scour the books some more. I don't seem to see any other self -oiling mills they sold at the moment.

Wind Master?
Re: Montgomery wars mill KS
I think it says wind master hard to tell
Re: Montgomery wars mill KS
I don't know how, but it sure looks like a Running -in -oil-Giant Made by Althouse Wheeler. I can't find where M/W even sold them. Lots of companies did though. A / W Co later became the Milfound Co. These mills were also made for Fairbanks Morse, and the tail was changed a little. Those were know as a Fairbanks Morse Model 37.
The helmet looks like it, the tail looks like it, The wheel looks like it. The reason I don't think it's an Air King, is the depth of the helmet. The Air King was single, internal gear. The R.I.O.Giant has a wider hood, due to double gears. One way to be positive, is to get up there, take off the helmet, and look at the gears. If the pinion is one long gear, it's a R.I.O.Giant. If there is a bullgear with the teeth on the inside, it's a Air King.

I find a Windmotor, but no Windmaster in any book. Nice name though.

On another note, where did you see Montgomery Ward on it? The windmill? the tower? the tail?
