Vintage Windmill and Wind Generator Forum

I had seen a drawing of the proper way to install the spokes to the sails in the forum somewhere but can't find it..could someone put it on this post again for me please. Don't want to get it assembled and be wrong and have to tear it apart..thanks for any help..Bill

I sure lost a lot of hair working on that problem. I can't remember exactly, but it seems like you stick them in backwards one hole at a time and do a round about face to get them in place. No bending or swearing required.

A Youtube video would save a lot of lives here.

No bending required! Slip one end thru the hub ring, and turn / twist to fit.

Thanks, yes I know that part but some of the spokes go to the outside of sail and some to inside. Not sure if it is the same all the way around. I have paper work that says first front v spoke goes to out side. But what about the rest or don't it matter. Bill

Oh ok. Let me see about a diagram.

Once you get the spokes in, they cross at about the inner band area. ( Looking from the front.)
