I am located in central Texas. Grew up on a farm with a windmill, we pulled the sucker rods and replaced leathers. I have a A602Aermoter 8’ that was on my granddads place. My goal is not to pump but I want to here the clanking. The blades and tail are in good shape. As usual I get in over my head on projects. I took it apart but the hub is damaged and frozen in place. I will be posting in the projects later

Also when looking at it I am fascinated but the efficient and simplicity of the design.

Looking forward to learning.
Tom

Welcome Tom. We still use a few Aermotor's on our farms to pump water for the cattle during the summer months.

Welcome Tom. You're not far from me. I'm near Manchaca. Anytime you want to talk windmills, stop by. I'm not much knowledgeable on Aermotors though. The few mills I've rebuilt are all other brands. Looking forward to how your project goes.
Regards,
Jim

Tom, I-35 corridor is loaded with windmill folks .
I live in New Braunfels and have limited experience with a Aermotor A-702 .
When you get ready to pour the babbit bearings I am willing to help.
I poured my own 702 bearings with great success, willing to try 602.
This site is loaded with great experts and information, don't be afraid to ask.
