I know it's from an F.E. Meyers pump.

Also know it's the sucker rod.
But what are the round discs for?
Guides?
Do they form a water seal.
Next 2 parts are shown, any info would help.
I know one part slides on the square bar out the top of the pump.
But what holds it.
Where might I find parts for my Meyers pump?
Thanks

Those round discs or cups held the upside down leathers (compared to in a cylinder) to produce a seal. It is very similar in design and function to an IBT (inverted brass tube) stuffing box. I think yours would only take 2 leather whereas IBTs have 3. They are more effective than packing and a compression nut but still not a perfect world.

Where could I purchase the leathers? Other parts?

Most leathers in IBTs and your application were odd sized. You would need to measure the ID of the brass tube that they run in and then disassemble under the flat bar for the shaft size/center hole size.
Parts - you need to find someone that deals in hand pumps and has a hand pump salvage yard

Look under the section " where to find components "
Hardware store in Iowa sell lots of leather pump pump parts.

Unless you need the seal to pump uphill, or under pressure, you really don't need that part complete to use the pump. I re-worked one of those one time for a Dempster I think it was. At the time I was able to get parts from Dempster, and a hardware store north of me here has lots and lots of leathers.

Thanks for the information and direction. The leathers for my usage act more as guides.
Now please put your thinking caps on and tell what the 2 parts shown are used for......thanks

The one on the right appears to be the flat bar guide that goes into the pump top. The flat bar goes thru it to keep it more or less centered. Not sure about the other part.
