Wasn't that a Dempster 14 standing beside the corral at the ranch?

When I look at the Dempster #14 and Monitor L furling systems it appears the latter
is the better designed one. I use an 1/8th inch aircraft cable to furl the Monitor L
Don`t know if that is heavy enough to do the job on the #14?
Good luck with yours Mike, I will be able to call on you when it comes time to
put mine together when ever that will be.

Mike
If you get the control rods hooked in the wrong hole on the spider as you work the pullout the rods will fall out from behind the hooks.
Wayne
Yes it was just missing the wood. It is a self oiling, direct stroke, vainless mill. A lot going on with it.
Joe
Yes the "L" has a better pullout system.
I would think that aircraft cable would be stronger than a #9 wire that most mills use.

I havent done much to this as it's inside and the weather is nice so Mike is outside. I have to play with the positioning of the pullout hooks. I've got the jig all set up the way I want it. I'm going to pre drill the nail holes and only partly tap in the nails so I can pull them out to paint. I'm going to spring clamp the flat bar pull out hooks In place and set the section up on the mill and see if it will work. It's been sitting on the table for a while. New girlfriend too so I've been a little distracted....

It becomes Girlfriend-Windmills. That's ok, windmills can't keep you warm in the winter.
