Any last minute advice before completing rebuild on inside of gearbox? I still need to put pins in pitman arms. I hope I didnt miss anything. Thanks,

How far do you screw the long and shirt guide rods into their holes? Do you bottom them out? If you bottom the short guide rod it puts pressure on the bearing race. Thanks.

Yes it does, it supposed to. Keeps it from moving around. Screw the other in to match it.

Ok thanks Windy. If I bottom out on top of race bearing it seems harder to turn the main shaft though.

well how did the race go in the case? did it fall in, or did you drive it in?

okay then what you are doing is squishing it out of round a little. Maybe not so tight on that one.
