Wheel Parts

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Hi everyone, anybody know what these are? There are parts from two different wheels.

I agree that hub is F&W. That part # is a little odd .. with the 1/2 on the end. I wonder if it is one of those transitional hubs ... like someone had on a Star 24 or 37 ... maybe Jim C.

Peter - what does it have for a brake area? External or internal?
Thanks,
Ed

Ed, the parts are at Paul's place, maybe he will chime in here about the brake area.

That is a Star 12 hub only the second one I have seen with the 1882 1/2
part number. The other one I have on a Star 37. Mine has the flanged area
for the external brake band. The Star 12 has an internal brake band.
