A quick question re cementing in leg anchors.
I am going to be pouring cement for tower leg anchors and was wondering
if the concrete would be set up enough in 18 to 24 hour hours for me to erect the 30 foot
Monitor L ?
The reason I am asking is the job is about 200 miles from home and would like to
be able drive there with the mill and have the holes drilled and cement poured the 1st day and then
erect the mill and return home the next day . Do not want to lo leave my wife alone too long.
Will be doing this Labour day Friday and Saturday. Weather permitting.
Thanks,
Joe

That is what I was going would use. The mill customer is getting the concrete
delivered and said he did not want to have to buy the bags and go
through the trouble of mixing. The drilled well is a mile from his farm and would
require a wheel barrow and water. I think that method would cost pretty
well as much as the ready mix. A bag of ready crete here is about $16.00
and we would need more than 20.Holes are going to be 12 inches round by 60 deep
I think they can add something to cause the concrete to set up faster.
I will be adding rebar to reinforce the pour.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe, that's pretty much what we do on a regular basis.
