Axtell Blades

I am going to try and post pictures from 3 blades off a 10' Axtell Model C. If you look close you will see a crimp on the following edge of each blade. I have seen that before but only on 10 ft ones. Any one want to hazard a guess why.
I have seen something similar on 6' Wonder B's.

A crimped edge is stronger. Cross breaking, beading & hems are all methods done to sheet metal to increase strength. I will crimp edge an aermotor blade if straightening without removal from a section and it is "flimsy". I use hand crimping pliers with 6" blades.
