Tension wires

Post by Russail »

Is it possible to twist the cross hatch tension wires on a tower when they become slack?

I don't think that's a good idea. They don't become un-wound, they stretch, so winding them even tighter would probably pop them. You can grab them where they cross (over a girt) and pull each one to the side, then clamp them to the girt. This usually helps.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

If your tower has cam bolts try turning them

A wire rope cable clamp at the X intersection will tighten them, slide clamp up the X to tighten. Not very aesthetic but works
