E-702 rebuild
E-702 rebuild
Finally got enough grease off to get it apart. Most everything looks good except the pitman arm bearings. Not for lots of cleaning. Anyone ever put one in your wife’s dishwasher???

Windy, if I put this in the kitchen sink I’m going to need a place to live, not a dishwasher!

Re: E-702 rebuild
I know a guy who used to butcher his deer in the bathtub his marriage didn't last long.
Re: E-702 rebuild
How about carrying it to an engine machine shop and have I g it acid vatted? Would that hurt anything?
Re: E-702 rebuild
I bet it didn’t Dan! It sure wouldn’t for me. However, I did bathe a newborn calf one that was about froze to death. Saved its life. But I didn’t make it a habit.
Re: E-702 rebuild
I used to take cases in to the shop and have them vatted. They can also bead blast it. As long as you have no babbitt in the case.

Roger...., a long time ago posted a picture of a windmill he was restoring in the sink. His wife ( I think) was gone for a day or two.

Re: E-702 rebuild
You could spray it down with degreaser and then bring it to a self serve carwash I've done that before.
