Dan , the secret to the white lettering is to use a foam brush .
I use a 1" foam brush with a damp coat of spray paint and drag it accross the elevated letters , a few splatters that can be touched up but looks good from a distance .

No mike there's no date on book but my guess for what it's worth i would date your pump around the turn of the century or earlier cause it's not in my 602 or 702 windmill and pumps books.

I took the base lattice pieces to the Lamar Trade Fair looking for color ideas , but did not ask age . I like the idea of late 1890's
In Lamar at the ranch there were a pair of new recast base lattice plates , look good from a distance .
Only a couple of windmiller had ever seen an origional Aermotor pump of that vintage .
