Thanks Dan. Once I get going, it's hard to stop. It will come to a stop after Memorial Day. Then I will be getting ready for the Trade Fair.

It's nice to have the machines to make your own parts , and the knowledge & skill to work them .

mtblah, I worked in manufacturing for 41 1/2 years. That really helps in making a lot of these parts. I just wish I had a small lathe. I have one picked out, but coming up with the funds is another story.

Kenneth, Camron or Baker Hughs ?
I can empathize with the limited funds stuff !
Yesterday I went to Buc-ee's and filled my Dodge diesel , 35 gallons , $145
Puts a limit on resources to put into things I want to accomplish

mtblah, I worked for Daniel Measurement and Control. 38 years in manufacturing, and 3 1/2 years in Quality Control. I was laid off after they moved production out of the states. Seems all companies are doing that now.

Thanks Smax. I made a little more progress today.
The pins I inserted in my last update needed peened over on the back. So I got that done.
I stacked the pieces together so I could post one pic

I was reading the literature, and it shows the pitman having replaceable babbitt inserts, and could be pressed out. They offered replacement babbitt inserts you could change out. So the top bearing on my pitman was almost still there. So I pressed it out.

Then I cut a piece of 1/2" square bar for the brake bar.

Now I am waiting on some tooling to do more repair work. Will update when I continue.
