Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Glue

Post by Mike Hage »

I'm trying to tighten up the mast pipe on my F&W 12. Cut a sleeve out of copper sheeting fits nice. Contact cement failed. Any ideas what type of cement (glue) I could use for this?

J-B weld might work. Clean well and scratch up the surfaces for best results.

Worked in on business machines. Had an online office machine had a printer ball like the old IBM typewriters. The carrier had broke. To replace it was an all day very difficult tear down. I suggested J_B Weld to my friend. He tried it and I guess it was still working when they closed. An al day job turned into about an hour repair. Probably not one you would suggest to the higher ups.
